Marine
Zinc Rudder & Shaft Sacrificial Anode Pair — 5-1/8"
Product description
Prevent costly galvanic damage: These zinc sacrificial anodes are intended to protect propellers, rudder shafts, hull fittings and other submerged metal parts from pitting and metal loss. Installed correctly, they corrode first and spare your expensive underwater components from accelerated deterioration.
Designed for saltwater applications: The anodes are cast from zinc alloy that performs well in marine saltwater environments. Each piece measures 5-1/8" and is shaped for mounting on rudders, shafts or trim tabs. Zinc offers stable, long-lasting protection where saltwater is the primary electrolyte.
Complete pair with hardware: Sold as a matched set of two precision-cast zinc anodes. Each set includes stainless steel bolt and nut hardware so you can install one on each side of a rudder or trim tab for balanced protection. Mounting fits common rudder and shaft setups—verify screw pattern before installation.
Manufactured to quality standards: Produced under an ISO 9001 manufacturing process, the brand makes zinc, aluminum and magnesium anodes to ensure consistent performance and predictable replacement intervals. Inspect anodes regularly and replace them when more than half consumed to maintain protection.
Pros
- Solid corrosion protection in saltwater
- Includes stainless bolt and nut for mounting
- Made under ISO 9001 quality controls
Cons
- Zinc is optimized for saltwater, not ideal for all fresh waters
- Mounting pattern may differ from some OEM parts
- Needs periodic inspection and replacement
VerdictA dependable pair of zinc anodes that give straightforward galvanic protection for rudder shafts, trim tabs and nearby underwater metalwork. They mount with supplied stainless hardware and are made to consistent quality standards. Good for saltwater environments—inspect and replace when the anode is mostly consumed.

Confused by fitment
Ordered CMX08M for a 1-3/4" shaft expecting four mounting screws but received units with only two. Also unclear whether these are the magnesium version.
