5-Step Foldable Boat Rope Ladder — Boarding Ladder for Boats & Kayaks
Product description
Construction and capacity: This foldable five-step rope ladder is built from UV-resistant polyester webbing designed to endure exposure to sun and both fresh and salt water. The ladder’s maximum safe load is rated at 440 lbs. The vertical webbing measures roughly 1.8 inches across, providing broad support and rigidity.
Rungs and feel: Each rung is formed around a round, reinforced fiber tube that’s wrapped in braided nylon for grip. The steps are thick and sturdy with moderate cushioning so they won’t cave in underfoot; they’re designed to resist slipping when wet and give a solid platform for climbing.
Weight and portability: Compared with wooden alternatives, this ladder is lightweight and compact. The rungs are weighted enough to sink below the surface instead of floating, making reboarding easier. When not in use the ladder rolls up and stows in the supplied carrying case for convenient transport and storage.
Hardware and installation: Heavy-duty 316 stainless steel fittings are attached at the ladder’s top for corrosion resistance, and installation requires no tools. The package includes a safety locking clip that lets you secure the ladder to a swim deck, rail or boarding point quickly and remove it just as fast.
Applications: Designed for use on swim platforms, rails and transoms, the ladder suits inflatable dinghies, pontoons, sailboats, kayaks, ski boats, jet skis and other small to medium craft where a portable boarding aid is needed.
Safety note: This is a flexible webbing ladder, so slight lateral movement is normal while climbing. Always place your weight on the center of the rung, keep at least three points of contact, and ascend slowly. It’s not recommended for people with very poor balance or limited physical strength.
Pros
- Durable UV-resistant polyester and reinforced nylon rungs

- Lightweight, folds into included carry case
Cons
- Some lateral sway during use

Not suitable for very shallow hulls
On boats with little hull under water my feet slipped under the boat and I couldn’t use leg power to climb. It didn’t work for me.
