Marine
4-Step Folding 316 Stainless Rear-Entry Pontoon/Boat Ladder
Product description
Construction and materials: This ladder is built from welded 316 stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance in marine environments. The tubes and joints are polished and finished to resist wear and deformation.
Steps and ergonomics: There are four telescoping, extra-wide steps with molded black vinyl treads to improve grip and boarding comfort, useful for swimmers, snorkelers, or those wearing fins and heavier gear.
Operation and stowage: The ladder both telescopes and folds with a double C-shape stowing method — it flips up and contracts to minimize its footprint. When stowed it measures about 17.83 inches in length, freeing up deck or dock space.
Capacity and safety: Two comfortable grab handrails flank the ladder to aid boarding. The structure is designed for heavy-duty use; it is rated for normal daily use around 400 lbs and has a higher tested capacity up to 900 lbs, though the manufacturer recommends staying within the 400 lb guideline for regular use.
What’s included and installation: The package includes the ladder assembly, quick-release mounting brackets, and an L-wrench for assembly. It’s designed for rear-entry mounting on a horizontal platform and installs with a few fasteners. Typical installation requires you to supply appropriate stainless fasteners for your deck or hull material.
Pros
- Welded 316 stainless resists corrosion
- Folds and telescopes to save space
- Extra-wide vinyl-tread steps for secure footing
Cons

VerdictA robust, corrosion-resistant boarding ladder that balances strength and compact storage. The welded 316 stainless construction and wide, molded vinyl steps make it comfortable and long-lasting for swimmers and divers. Its telescoping and flip-up design keeps deck space clear when not in use, and the dual grab rails add confidence when climbing. Installation is straightforward on a horizontal surf

Loads of summer fun
Well made and works great.

Solid construction, missing directions
Sturdy and performs well getting out of the water. My only gripe is that it shipped with no instructions, which wasn’t a problem for me but could challenge others.

Works well for a pool deck
Aside from the lack of included screws, this is a good value for an above-ground pool deck. Seems sturdy even with an adult on it and the fold-up feature is handy for using a solar blanket.

Perfect fit and simple to mount
I searched for pontoon steps and these were ideal. Installation was quick, they feel solid and fold up neatly. Deploying and securing them is easy, and the treads are long and rigid — they don’t float or flex under the boat. Very pleased.

Handles my weight with ease
Very heavy duty — I weigh 215 lbs and it has no problem supporting me.

Best swim ladder we’ve owned
Excellent quality and stores away simply on our pontoon.

Clean welds and excellent finish
Nice wide steps and very good build quality. I haven’t installed it yet but the welds and polish look professional and the stainless feels thick. The plastic clip on my first set broke, so a stronger retainer would help, but a bungee cord does the job. Bought another set for my other boat.

Great customer service when it didn't fit
The ladder wasn’t suitable for my installation location. The seller (Leo) and the company handled the return and issued a full refund promptly. Appreciated their responsiveness.

Surprisingly solid for the cost
Great ladder — heavier and sturdier than I expected straight out of the box. Assembly was straightforward despite no manual. It didn’t include mounting bolts, so I bought 1/4 x 2" stainless bolts, washers and lock nuts. Took about 30 minutes to put on and extends an extra step over my old ladder.

Rugged and reliable on a floating dock
Installed on a floating dock and left submerged a lot of the season with no corrosion or issues. The mounting pad wasn’t perfectly flat, so I added a shim and it sits fine. It didn’t include screws; my first screws had small heads and eventually pushed through, so I replaced them with larger-headed stainless fasteners.

Handy dock ladder with a few minor flaws
I mounted this on a dock to keep it out of the water when not used. Assembly and install were easy and the telescoping plus hinge gives a low profile when stowed. Three minor weaknesses: the bungee meant to help lift the ladder doesn’t fully carry it up, the out-of-water clip could be more robust, and the last bit of travel feels a little stiff. Not showstoppers for me.
