Marine
Kicker KM65 6.5in Marine Coaxial Speakers — 3/4in Tweeters, 4Ω
Product description
This set features 6.5-inch (165mm) polypropylene woofers paired with 3/4-inch tweeters, built to deliver full-range audio in marine conditions. The woofer cones are injection-molded and receive UV treatments to resist sun degradation, while santoprene (rubber) surrounds add durability and preserve excursion. Impedance is 4 ohms, suitable for most marine audio systems.
The drivers are housed in baskets and grilles that are also treated for UV resistance; two grille color options — charcoal and white — are supplied so you can match your boat's aesthetic. The design includes a sealed motor structure and locking terminal covers to reduce moisture intrusion, and the package contains mounting hardware and push-on wire connectors so you have what you need for a straightforward replacement or upgrade.
Intended for deck, cockpit and tower use on boats, these coaxials mount into standard 6.5-inch cutouts and are aimed at improving highs and mids compared with stock speakers. While they provide clear, loud output, their physical size limits deep low-bass compared with larger subwoofers. Installation may require checking screw length in some applications.
Pros
- Clear, loud sound for mids and highs
- Marine-grade materials and UV protection
- Includes interchangeable grilles and basic install hardware
Cons
- May require longer screws for some mounts
- Limited deep bass due to 6.5" size
- Not the lowest-priced option available
VerdictThese KM65 coaxial speakers deliver clear, loud sound in a marine-ready package. Construction uses UV-treated polypropylene cones, santoprene surrounds and sturdy baskets to withstand exposure, while sealed motor assemblies and terminal covers help keep moisture out. They include interchangeable charcoal and white grilles plus basic mounting hardware and connectors, making installation simple. Exp

Loud and Clear at Speed
Replaced the OEMs on my 2007 Four Winns and added an amp — four of these play loud and clear even at around 80 km/h on a bow rider.

Reliable Brand
This is my second pair in five years — the first lasted several seasons. They sound great and the blue LED backlight looks sharp. Expect decent longevity.

Overhyped?
They look good but the sound wasn't spectacular. I suspect a cheaper model might have sounded similar.

Better Than Stock
Sound is noticeably improved over the originals. Heads-up: the supplied screws were a hair short for my mount, but longer ones fixed it.
