This Helmsman unit, model HF-743, is a flush-mount compass in a black housing. It features a 3.75" combi dial that supports both direct and top reading, plus a movable sun shield to reduce glare. The dial uses green illumination and includes magnetic compensators for tuning to your vessel.

Overall diameter measures approximately 5.2" and it is designed to fit a 4" installation hole. Built for helm or dash mounting, the compass is intended as a like-for-like replacement for many older units and is covered by a five-year warranty.

    Restored my 1986 Sea Ray

    My dash compass lost all fluid last summer. The original maker no longer supplies the old unit, but this HF-743 fit as a replacement. It's slightly smaller, but using an adapter ring solved the fit and the compass now works exactly as needed.
