DualSense Wireless Controller — Galactic Purple (PS5/PC Gamepad)
Product description
What’s included: one DualSense Wireless Controller in Galactic Purple. The gamepad is a full‑size console controller built to the DualSense form factor and includes a built‑in rechargeable battery, integrated microphone, and a 3.5 mm headset jack for wired headsets.
Construction and feel: the shell uses durable polymer with a mixed matte and glossy finish and rubberized thumbstick tops and grips for secure handling. It retains the updated button layout and refined analog sticks introduced with the DualSense design, offering a familiar ergonomic fit for extended sessions.
Key features and use: advanced haptic actuators reproduce nuanced vibrations across gameplay, while adaptive triggers provide variable resistance and tension for more tactile feedback. The Create button replaces the traditional share function for capturing and broadcasting video clips and screenshots. A front‑facing speaker delivers higher‑fidelity sound effects in supported titles, and the built‑in mic allows quick voice chat without an external headset.
Connectivity and compatibility: pair wirelessly over Bluetooth or plug in with a USB‑C cable for charging and low‑latency play. The controller works with PS5 consoles and can be used on Windows and Mac systems; it also supports streaming gameplay from consoles using PS Remote Play. It’s ready for both couch play and desktop setups.
Pros
- Immersive haptics and adaptive triggers
- Built‑in mic, speaker, and Create button
- USB‑C and Bluetooth for multi‑device use
Cons
- Some units may develop stick drift over time
- Standard battery life compared with newer variants
- High demand means color can be hard to find
VerdictA comfortable, feature‑rich DualSense that brings immersive haptics and adaptive triggers to both console and PC play. The Galactic Purple finish stands out, controls are familiar and responsive, and multi‑device pairing makes it versatile—though some users still report occasional stick drift over time.

Functional but developed drift
Arrived with some residue that I cleaned off; worked fine initially. After two months the right stick began to drift.

Nice color but wish for Hall‑Effect sticks
My niece loves the purple shade and is thrilled with it, but at this price point I expected hall‑effect thumbsticks to prevent future drift.

Durable and stands out
Survived heavy use from kids and rough handling. Still looks and works like new. Color makes it easy to find and it charges quickly when left plugged in.

Very good controller
Striking dark purple color and improved feel over first DualSense releases. Triggers and sticks feel better; battery could be bigger, but still highly recommend.

Great controller, interesting shade of purple
DualSense is my favorite PlayStation controller so far — ergonomics, gyro, haptics and triggers are excellent. The purple leans darker, reminding me of older console purples, which I actually like.
