Cleaning
Bar Keepers Friend Powder Cleanser (2 x 12 oz) — Multipurpose Cleaner
Product description
What’s included: two 12-ounce canisters of powdered cleanser.
Formulation and materials: This is an oxalic acid–based powder that works without chlorine bleach. The granulated formula is designed to be sprinkled directly onto a wet surface and then worked with a cloth, sponge, or nonabrasive pad. Because it’s a concentrated powder, only a small amount is needed for regular maintenance or targeted stain removal.
Surfaces and compatibility: Intended for use on stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, ceramic, porcelain, glass, tile, grout, fiberglass, solid-surface counters such as Corian, laminate counters, and cast-iron cookware. It removes rust stains, hard-water mineral deposits, soap scum, baked-on grease, tarnish and general mineral buildup. It is not recommended for porous or delicate natural stone surfaces such as unsealed granite, marble, or raw stone, and should not be used on wood.
How to use: Wet the area to be cleaned, sprinkle a light layer of the powder onto the surface, let it sit briefly for heavy deposits, then scrub with a cloth, brush or non-scratch pad. Rinse thoroughly when finished. For cookware, wet the pan, apply powder, let it work briefly and scrub; repeat for very stubborn spots. No dilution is generally required; follow label directions for contact times and safety precautions.
Applications around the home: In the kitchen it restores burned pots and pans, cleans glass cooktops, lifts utensil marks and cuts through oven and stovetop grease. In bathrooms it removes soap scum, clears mineral deposits from faucets and brightens toilet bowls and tile grout. The product is also effective on metal fixtures and fittings that have tarnish or mineral staining.
Performance notes: Delivers heavy-duty cleaning performance comparable to professional products, trusted for decades by homeowners and trade professionals alike. Use protective gloves if desired and avoid mixing with other cleaners.

Conquered stubborn yellow ring after months of buildup
Moved into a place with heavy sediment and yellow buildup from a bad water heater. Months later I used this product, applied and rubbed, and the yellow ring disappeared. I can’t add photos here, but it truly removed the grime.

Perfect for yellow tubs caused by hard well water
My tube turned yellow when our softener failed. Following advice from family, I wetted the tub, sprinkled the powder, let it sit briefly, then scrubbed with an SOS-style pad. The yellow came right off and the tub looked like new.

Decent cleaner but needs elbow grease
This powder does clean better than many spray cleaners for hard-water stains, but it isn’t magic. You still need to scrub to get the best results.

Keeps finding new things to brighten
I keep discovering more uses: tubs, stuck-on dishes, even my dog’s bowls come out shiny. It doesn’t require extreme scrubbing—normal effort works—and I plan to keep this on hand.

Saved my toilet from mysterious gray discoloration
I accidentally mixed cleaners and the bowl turned an ugly dark gray below the waterline. Comet and bleach wouldn’t remove it and I feared the enamel was ruined. I tried this powder and it lifted the discoloration, restoring the bowl’s appearance and easing my worry about replacing the toilet.

Restored cookware, microwave and wall after a kitchen fire
After a pan fire filled my new rental with smoke, the pan, lid, wall and microwave were badly stained. I tried every tip I found but nothing helped. I finally used this powder: it removed the smoke marks from the pans and lid, cleaned the wall, and—surprisingly—didn’t scratch the microwave plastic. Everything looks like new again. Fast results and very impressed.

Removed rust and long-standing tub stains
Had an old faded black stain from a tub mat and rust spots. I pulled up the mat, wetted the tub, sprinkled the powder and let it sit a few hours. The rust lifted before I even scrubbed. After a brush and a second pass the old stains were gone. Worth it.

A kitchen miracle for burnt-on residue
Had a nonstick pan and stainless pot with baked-on food I thought were ruined. I wetted them, sprinkled this powder, waited a few minutes and scrubbed with a non-scratch pad. They looked almost brand new — no long-term damage and truly impressive results.
