PTFE Bowden Tube for 1.75 mm Filament — 2.0mm ID / 4.0mm OD, 1.5 m
Product description
What you get: a single 1.5‑meter length of white PTFE Bowden tubing intended for use with 1.75 mm filament. The package contains the bare tube without twist ties so the line ships uncreased and ready to cut to length.
Materials and dimensions: fabricated from high‑grade polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE/Teflon) with a rated temperature tolerance up to 260 °C. Measured wall dimensions are a 2.0 mm inner diameter and a 4.0 mm outer diameter, and the material density is specified at about 2.15–2.20 g/cm3.
Performance and use: this tube reduces internal friction so filament travels more smoothly between the extruder and hot end, helping to avoid grinding and inconsistent extrusion. It’s flexible enough to follow gantry and carriage motion in Bowden printer setups without binding.
Handling and installation: cut to the required length with a sharp blade, keeping the ends square for best fit in push‑fit connectors or couplers. Because it’s supplied untied, it won’t arrive with imposed bends that can cause crimping; store spare lengths flat or on a loose spool.
Compatibility: intended for standard 1.75 mm filament systems that accept a 2.0/4.0 mm PTFE liner. Useful as a direct replacement or as extra spare tubing for routine maintenance and quick swaps.
Pros
- Low internal friction for smoother filament feed
- Generous 1.5 m length allows multiple replacements
- High heat tolerance and stable material density
Cons
- Some cut pieces may have slight bore offset
- No end fittings included
- White color may show dirt over time
VerdictA straightforward, effective replacement for worn Bowden tubing. The PTFE construction keeps filament sliding freely, the 2.0 mm ID/4.0 mm OD sizing fits standard 1.75 mm setups, and the 1.5 m length gives plenty of material for multiple cuts. It’s not fancy, but it’s durable, heat resistant up to 260 °C, and packaged to avoid creases — a practical, low‑risk upgrade for improving feed consistency

Right dimensions and reliable spare
Tube measures as specified and should do the job. I haven’t installed this unit yet, but I’ve used the same type before and like keeping spares on hand.

Worth keeping as a spare
Still performing well after cleaning. Kept this in my parts drawer for future replacements — a handy item to have available.

Exact fit for 1.75 mm filament
Bought to swap in for my printer’s worn liner and it matched the original dimensions. Fit and function were spot on.

Improved feed on my Sidewinder X2
Swapped this in on my Sidewinder X2 and the 2.0/4.0 dimensions matched perfectly. Installation was quick and printing has been smoother since; the white tube also looks neat in the cable chain.

Solid, precise replacement for Bowden setups
This PTFE tube fits 1.75 mm filament systems and is made from durable Teflon that stands up to heat and wear. The 2.0 mm ID and 4.0 mm OD provide a snug fit in most push‑fit connectors, which helps prevent jams and inconsistent extrusion. Its low friction keeps filament moving cleanly and reduces grinding.

Worked fine for MP Select Mini v2 after trimming
Replaced the Mini’s original tube and cut this longer length into shorter sections. Some cut pieces had a slightly off‑centre bore which added a bit more drag, but overall the printer runs without issues.

Good, consistent tubing
Solid build and accurate width reduces filament play, which improves extrusion precision.

Got my printer working again
Old tubing in my machine had deformed and caused jams. I removed the bad section, cut about 34 mm of this tube, installed it, and printing was restored. A very economical fix given how little tube is needed for replacements.
