Design and finish: The tops are carefully polished to a smooth sheen by skilled artisans, while the undersides remain unpolished, showing a duller, raw surface. Because these are natural stone, color, tone and veining differ from piece to piece so no two coasters look identical.
Protection and performance: Travertine’s absorbent qualities help reduce moisture rings, and the stone is heat-resistant so it can handle warm drinks safely. They’re intended for use with hot or cold cups and glasses; if they get soiled, simply rinse them under water.
Non-skid pads included: Each coaster is supplied with self-adhesive non-slip pads to protect tabletops and keep the coaster steady. The pads are provided separately so you’ll need to remove the backing and press them onto the unpolished underside.

Attractive and weighty, pads separate
Lovely veining and color, solid and long-lasting. They have a pleasing weight so they stay put. The non-skid pads arrive loose and must be pressed onto each coaster. No holder is included, which is a bit disappointing, but they add elegance to a table.

Glossy colors; underside unpolished
Bought both green and black — the polished faces are glossy. The bottoms aren’t finished, so they look dull until you stick on the provided adhesive non-skid pads. Peeling and applying the pads is straightforward. The black tops are very smooth; the green ones have a bit more grip.
