Magnetic Blackout Accordion Door Curtain Panel — 42x78, 1 Panel
Product description
Material and size: This door curtain is woven from 100% polyester and measures 42 inches wide by 78 inches long. The single-panel configuration ships with attachment hooks and the magnetic closure components needed to fasten the two edges together.
Light control and privacy: The fabric has a dense weave and a special shading layer designed to block exterior light, helping maintain sleep quality and reduce visible glare. It also provides a degree of thermal separation for rooms where you want to keep heated or cooled air contained.
Magnetic closure and insect barrier: Built-in magnetic fasteners along the leading edges let the curtain snap closed automatically when you walk through. The magnet system also serves as a simple barrier against small insects and pets when closed.
Installation and care: No drilling is required — the curtain hangs from a tension or spring rod using the supplied hooks (tension rod not included). For cleaning, the fabric can be spot-wiped or laundered in a washing machine; follow gentle-cycle recommendations to preserve the shading layer.
Versatile use and storage: Intended for bedrooms, living rooms, closets, studies and interior transitions, the foldable accordion design collapses nearly flat when open so it won’t dominate the room’s appearance. The product is meant to be a compact, stylish way to create privacy and reduce light without replacing a door.
Pros
- Effective light blocking and privacy
- Hands-free magnetic closure
- Easy, no-drill installation and washable
Cons
- Color may be single-sided
- Tension rod must be purchased separately
- Some users report weak or awkward magnet hardware
VerdictA practical, space-saving alternative to a swinging door that provides genuine blackout performance and simple magnetic closure. It’s easy to hang on a tension rod and keeps rooms private and darker for sleep or insulation. Some users note magnet and finish issues, but for most homes this panel offers an affordable, low-effort solution for closets, doorways, and interior openings.

High-quality material, purchased two
Very good product. The material feels durable and is easy to trim—seal cut edges with a lighter to avoid fraying. I bought two and just need to install the second.

Keeps room temperature in
Works great at holding in heat and air conditioning. The material feels thick, installs easily, and the magnets are strong.

Does the job at a fair value
Bought two to replace broken closet doors. Hung them to meet in the middle. They feel sturdy enough to function as doors, hang well, and are not see-through. Instructions were sparse, but installation was straightforward. Would buy again.

Several design and quality issues
Update: customer service reached out and helped resolve my concerns. The fabric is stiff and doesn’t drape well. The magnet hardware is awkward—pins through the fabric and large silver frame magnets look clumsy. Hooks are white while the panel is black, and instructions aren’t clear about the push pins. Overall disappointing at this price.

Ideal for blocking toddlers and pets
Used to keep my toddler and dog out of rooms. The black looks great and magnets are on both edges. Make sure to use a solid tension rod without a center joint so the rings glide smoothly. Includes a clasp to hold it open. Only downside: color is only on one side.

Acceptable, but magnets felt weak
Matches the photos. The blackout fabric does block light, but the closure magnets are thin and not very powerful—strong drafts can pop them open. Some light still shows at the top.

Material didn’t match expectations
The materials didn’t align with the presentation. I’d rather install a basic fabric curtain for less money.
