AWS-COMPLIANT E7018 LOW-HYDROGEN ELECTRODES: These H4R E7018 stick rods are manufactured to meet AWS A5.1 E7018 and ASME SFA-5.1 E7018 specifications. They are carbon-steel SMAW electrodes formulated for low hydrogen to reduce the risk of cracking and porosity in critical joints.
ALL-POSITION, AC & DC FLEXIBILITY: The 3/32 in diameter rods in this 5 lb pack are designed for use on both AC and DC welding machines. They perform reliably in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions, offering versatility for both field repairs and shop fabrication.
HIGH TENSILE & YIELD STRENGTH: These E7018 electrodes produce weld metal with typical tensile strengths in the range of approximately 70,000–84,000 psi and yield strength at or above 58,000 psi, delivering durable, code-quality joints for structural and heavy-equipment applications.
CLEAN ARC CHARACTERISTICS: The flux formulation promotes a smooth, stable arc with minimal spatter and straightforward slag removal. Cleaner welds reduce finishing time and help maintain consistent bead appearance on applications such as pressure vessels, piping, and structural steel.

Excellent 7018 performance
These rods lay down a very smooth arc. I picked them up after seeing the specs and have been impressed — very close in feel to other premium 3/32 7018s. Packaging kept everything intact and dry. I’ll buy again when this spool runs out.

Very capable rods
Worked well on 1/4" plate — I could run them down as low as 65 amps and still get good fusion, which was tougher with other brands I use. Sealed inside plastic and foil then boxed; they arrived dry. Will reorder.
