Coir Blank Doormat 30 x 17 in — DIY Screen-Printable Porch Mat
Product description
What’s included: one blank coir doormat per pack (single pack option; bulk sets available for resellers and crafters).
Materials & size: natural coconut coir face with approximately 0.6-inch pile thickness, backed with heavy-duty PVC. Overall footprint is 30 inches by 17 inches, a common porch mat dimension.
How it’s used: designed as a prep-ready surface for customization — paint, screen print, stencil with Cricut-cut designs, or use with laser marking tools (test compatibility first). The firm coir holds inks and paints well and accepts stencil transfer cleanly.
Durability notes: the dense coir resists everyday wear and helps trap debris; PVC backing keeps the mat from sliding on most hard surfaces. While coir is resilient, prolonged exposure to heavy rain or very damp conditions may affect lifespan; consider a covered entry or occasional maintenance.
For sellers and hobbyists: sold in single units for casual crafters and in multi-packs for entrepreneurs expanding a custom doormat lineup. The neutral hue provides a simple base for bright or subtle designs.
Pros
- Thick coir pile ideal for paint and screen prints
- PVC backing prevents slipping on hard floors
- Compatible with stencils, Cricut cuts and many print methods
Cons
- Light natural color can show stains
- May shed slightly when first used
- Single mats sold; buy bulk for resale margins
VerdictA sturdy, craft-friendly coir mat that gives makers a blank canvas for personalized doormats. The thick coconut fiber and PVC backing make it suitable for regular outdoor use and common customization methods like painting, stenciling, screen printing, Cricut-cut stencils and laser marking. Light natural color may show stains over time, so consider placement or sealing for high-exposure spots.

Perfect for craft projects
I bought this to paint during a craft night and it held up nicely. Minimal shedding, thick fibers, and so far it has resisted water. Acrylic paint applied smoothly — I’d buy again.

Not very sturdy
Felt a bit flimsy and bristles seemed sparse. The fibers wobble underfoot; I doubt it will last long.

Attractive but light color
Plain and simple design I like. Coir with a rubber backing stays put. Uncovered placement may expose it to staining from tree sap and clay, so time will tell on longevity.
