Barclay Medallion Kashan Red 5x7 Area Rug — Classic Floor Rug
Product description
Traditional medallion motif: The rug showcases a classic Kashan-inspired medallion pattern in rich red with jewel-tone accents, designed to complement both contemporary and traditional décor.
Construction and feel: Woven from heat-set polypropylene fibers, the rug offers a soft, velvety medium pile of approximately 0.4". The texture is comfortable underfoot and suitable for everyday living spaces.
Performance features: Engineered to resist common household wear, the rug is stain-, fade-, and water-resistant, making it straightforward to clean and maintain even in higher-traffic rooms.
Size and placement: This rectangular rug measures about 5'3" x 7'3", a convenient size for smaller living areas, entryways, bedrooms, or under compact dining and table groupings. Its scale adds warmth without overwhelming the room.
Backing and care: A 100% jute backing provides floor-friendly support for wood and other hard surfaces. For extra cushioning and to reduce movement, pair the rug with a compatible rug pad. The rug is sold as a single piece in the stated dimensions.
Pros
- Soft 0.4" medium pile for comfort
- Stain, fade, and water resistant
- Floor-friendly 100% jute backing
Cons
- Slightly thin for those who want deep cushioning
- Edge may curl initially without weight
- Jute backing benefits from a pad to prevent slipping
VerdictA soft, durable medallion-style area rug that balances comfort with low maintenance. The heat-set polypropylene fibers deliver a velvety 0.4" pile that stands up to foot traffic while resisting stains, fading, and water. The jute backing protects hard floors and the compact 5'3" x 7'3" footprint works well in smaller rooms or beneath a round table. Overall, a smart, attractive option when you want

Looks upscale
Thick pile and rich colors give a high-end look. Replaced an old 8'x10' and it fits my furniture perfectly. Very happy with it.

Plush and dependable
Plush underfoot and vacuums easily. I own multiple sizes (7' round and 9x12) and the colors are lovely. Ordered a small mat too. No pad used.

Woven, not printed
Exactly the woven look I wanted. Slightly thin—add a pad for extra cushioning. No shedding and a faint rubber scent faded fast. One corner curled but was easy to fix.

Gorgeous and well made — it seems far pricier than it is. I got so many compliments I bought another in a different size.
