ROCKBROS 47-inch Folding Bike Lock with Two Keys — Heavy Duty
Product description
Construction and strength: The lock is made from alloy structural steel composed of 5mm (0.19in) steel segments engineered for tensile strength. The linked design and material give it resistance to simple cutting and prying attempts and increases durability for outdoor and urban use.
What’s included and carrying options: The package contains the folding lock, two metal keys, a mounting bracket with two fastening bolts and two fixing straps so you can attach it beneath the saddle or along the top and down tubes. The folding links are smooth and flexible, designed to fold compactly without snagging or squeaking for easy transport.
Upgraded dimensions and weight: This heavier-duty iteration weighs about 1.91 lb and measures roughly 120cm (47.24 inches) when extended — long enough to secure multiple frames or wheels at once. The mounting box supports two installation orientations for added convenience depending on your frame geometry.
Surface protection: A PP plastic coating encloses the exterior of the lock to guard against corrosion and water exposure and to reduce the risk of scratching a bike’s paintwork while in use or when carried on the frame.
Versatile uses: The extended length and folding form let you secure bicycles to trees, fences, railings, ramps and stubby poles. It’s also useful for scooters, mopeds, grills, ladders, garden equipment and other items that need a temporary lock-up.
Pros
- Generous 120cm length for flexible locking
- PP-coated to protect paint and resist corrosion
- Includes bracket, bolts and two mounting straps
Cons
- Not invulnerable to power tools like angle grinders
- Heavier than cable locks — ~1.91 lb
- May be awkward to fit on some frames without the bracket
VerdictThis folding lock offers a solid balance of length, portability and deterrence. Its 5mm alloy steel segments wrapped in PP are tougher than thin cables and convenient to mount for quick stops, and the 120cm length can loop around multiple bikes or large frames. It won’t stop a thief equipped with power tools, but for everyday commuting and café stops it’s a practical choice — heavier than a cable

Compact and functional
Really like this — compact design and does the job for daily use.

Decent for cafés; packaging issue
Workable for short stops though not top-tier security. My first unit arrived without the mounting hardware so I returned it and ordered a replacement.

Compact yet long enough
Long enough to wrap the frame, front wheel and a rack, yet folds small to fit in my rack bag — seems rugged and practical.

Heavy but practical for mopeds
Fairly heavy for its size, but the lock and cylinder feel solid. The longer length helps with my moped. Bracket is front-loading which worked for my frame.

Arrived with scratches
The item arrived scuffed and showing signs of rough handling, not the pristine new product I expected.

Good for short stops
No lock is foolproof, but this makes your bike a less attractive target than a cable. I chose it for its length, weight and bottle-cage mount — easy to use for quick coffee or errand stops and more likely to be used than my heavier chain.

Tougher than a cable
Feels more robust than a simple cable or light chain. Gives me more confidence locking up around town.

Not ideal for e-bikes — angle grinder risk
After switching to an e-bike I had this cut with an angle grinder in moments. It’s a good deterrent for commuting but won’t stop determined thieves with power tools.
