This chain lock is built from heavy-gauge steel links designed to resist cutting and prying. The full length of the assembly is approximately 3 feet, with individual links measuring about 1.97 inches long and roughly 0.23 inches thick. Total weight is about 1.4 pounds, making it substantial enough to deter opportunistic theft while still portable for daily use.
The metal chain is covered by a dense protective cloth sleeve that guards the chain against moisture and prevents it from scratching painted frames and other surfaces. The sleeve is secured so it cannot be easily peeled back at the ends. A sliding dust cover protects the key entry from rain and road grime, helping maintain smooth operation.
The locking mechanism accepts a male plug that snaps into place without needing to turn the key to secure it; two metal keys are supplied so you can keep a spare at home. Regular lubrication of the lock cylinder and keyway is recommended to extend service life and help prevent corrosion.
Use the chain to lock bicycles, e-bikes, scooters, strollers, lawn equipment, ladders, fences, tool boxes and similar items to fixed objects.
