Cut-Resistant TSA Gun Case Lock — Shackleless Single-Shaft, Green
Product description
TSA-compliant design: This padlock meets Transportation Security Administration guidelines so screeners can inspect contents without damaging the lock. Use it on airline journeys for smoother inspections and to keep firearms and valuables restricted to authorized hands.
Robust, cut-resistant construction: The lock uses hardened materials and a compact, shackleless single-shaft form that’s harder to saw or shear than typical small luggage locks. A rubberized outer sleeve cushions impacts and helps protect case surfaces from scratches.
Multi-use fit: Although marketed for gun cases, the single-shaft post passes through most hard-case latch holes and also works with ammo cans, safes, tool chests, lockers, briefcases and travel trunks. Because latch hole spacing varies by maker and model year, verify the hole dimensions on your own case before relying on fit.
Child-safety and simple operation: The post-style design adds a safety layer at home by keeping firearms inaccessible to children when the case is closed. Locking and unlocking are straightforward — set a personal three-digit code before first use and store that code separately since there is no key or secondary override.
Weather-sealed internals: Corrosion-resistant materials and sealed internal components resist rain, humidity, salt air and cold conditions so the mechanism remains functional after wet trips to the range or outdoor storage.
Designed for firearms users: Developed with firearms carry cases in mind rather than adapted from generic luggage hardware, the lock’s single-shaft profile is intended to sit lower on case latches and reduce snagging. Bodies are colour-coded so you can assign different locks to different cases or bags at a glance.
What’s in the box: One green single-shaft combination padlock. You must program your three-digit combination before first use; keep that code written somewhere aside from the case itself.
Fit note: The post fits most hard-sided case latches but not all. If your case has narrow spacing or recessed latch geometry, the lock body or rubber sleeve may prevent engagement without modification.

Didn’t fit my case
Too thick for my case’s latch — the rubber coating added unwanted bulk and wouldn’t allow full engagement.

Sturdy and easy to use
Feels durable and the post is thick enough for typical case holes. The shape handles well in hand and changing the combination is straightforward with a small tool. Bonus that it comes in different colors.

Body too wide for my box
Combo change was easy and instructions were clear, but the lock body wouldn’t seat in my pistol case without altering the box or the lock.

Good option for long equipment cases
Not as bombproof as a big U-shackle, but fits long Pelican-style cases well and is easier to access. Easy to set and good for travel or basic security.

Nice color choices
I like picking a color. Fits my Apache and a Pelican-like case nicely. The rubber sleeve can get tugged off in handling, but it still looks and works fine without it.

Perfect for my hard case
Set-up was fast — a pen pushes the pin to change numbers. The lock is heavy and the rubber covering keeps the case from getting scuffed. I’d buy another for a new case and will report back if any long-term issues appear.
