Adjustable Chick Brooder Heat Plate — 16x12 Rapid-Warmth Unit
Product description
What’s included: a 16 x 12 inch brooder heat plate, an adjustable four-leg stand with tilt capability, a remote control, and power cable. Built for small poultry, the pad accommodates up to about 30 newly hatched chicks and is intended for chicks, ducklings, quail, goslings, turkey poults and similar young birds.
Materials and power: the heater uses a graphene heating element beneath a scratch-resistant, easy-clean top surface. It’s a 200W device designed for rapid response and even heat distribution across the platform to reduce hot spots and encourage natural spacing behavior.
Temperature, timer and performance: the control range spans 86°F to 194°F with multiple steps for fine adjustment. A 0–12 hour timer offers preset off times (0, 3, 6, 9 or 12 hours) so you can automate warming periods. The unit reaches working temperatures within minutes thanks to high thermal efficiency, lowering run time compared with older-style brooders.
Adjustability and stability: the stand raises from approximately 2 to 8.2 inches and allows 360° rotation and angle changes so you can create a warm pocket at the right height and slope as chicks grow. The structure is built to be stable and resilient against active chicks hopping around on or near the plate.
Care and support: the top surface wipes clean easily and resists scratches and staining. The product comes with a six-month quality guarantee and around-the-clock customer support should any issues arise.
Usage tips: place the plate so chicks can choose warmer or cooler zones, start at a lower setting for day-old chicks and raise height or lower temperature as they feather. In very cold conditions, pair with other heat sources or additional insulation to maintain broodermates’ warmth.
Pros
- Wide temperature band and programmable timer
- Very fast, even heating via graphene element
- Height and angle adjustments for growing chicks
Cons
- Footprint can extend beyond advertised plate dimensions
- Surface is hot at maximum setting—monitor closely
- May need supplementary heat in extreme cold
VerdictA fast, energy-efficient alternative to heat lamps that offers precise temperature control, even surface warmth, and flexible mounting. Well suited for small flocks and mixed hatchings; monitor in extreme cold and mind footprint when placing in tight brooders.

Ok for mild conditions
Performs well when it’s only a bit cool outside. It struggled during a sudden severe cold front and I lost some quail chicks, so plan extra heating for very low temperatures.

Good heater but measure your brooder
Nice unit but the feet add width—mine wouldn’t fit the 16.5" end of the box because the total became about 18". At top settings it gets very warm; angling it gave chicks a comfortable spot. Check footprint before buying.

Spacious and digitally controlled
I worried I’d need two units for nearly 30 chicks, but the 16x12 surface handled them fine. The digital readout makes it easy to monitor and tweak temperature. You can raise either side to create warmer or cooler areas. Lightweight yet sturdy and simple to put together.

Best upgrade for my brooder
This heat plate removed all the guesswork. Being able to set precise temperatures as chicks grow made transitions painless. Heat is spread evenly so they don’t pile up in one hot spot. Much safer feeling than a lamp and gives real peace of mind.

Reliable, flexible brooder heat plate
Remote, timer and height adjustment make this very user-friendly. It provides steady, energy-efficient warmth without hot spots and helps chicks thrive. A dependable choice for hatch-to-feather stages.

Cozy start for newborn chicks
I put mine low for day-old chicks and it created a snug warm zone. Plenty of room for a typical backyard brood. It’s easy to use, looks neat, and I’ll keep using it for future hatches.

Top brooder heater I've owned
Heats up almost instantly compared with older models that took forever. The build feels premium and the chicks love it—always found napping beneath it. I liked it enough to plan on getting another one.
