2-in-1 Magnetic Wooden Chess & Checkers Set — 15-inch Foldable Board

Product description

Well-crafted materials and compact dimensions: The game measures 15 inches square and is built from smooth, inlaid wood for an attractive, robust playing surface. The finish is designed to resist daily wear while maintaining a traditional look.

Two games in one: The board supports both chess and checkers so you can switch between strategic matches and faster, casual play. The folding construction allows the board to close into a shallow box that houses all pieces neatly inside.

Magnetic chess pieces and protective padding: The chess set’s pieces have magnetic bases to hold them steady during play, and each piece has a soft pad underneath to guard the wooden squares against scratches. Two extra queen pieces are included for convenient promotions or replacements.

Portable storage and usage: Inside the folded board there are slots and recesses sized to snugly hold each piece, simplifying transport and keeping components organized. Ideal for tables, travel, classrooms, camping, or quiet evenings at home, this set provides a tidy solution for on-the-go play.

Pros

  • Magnetic chess pieces hold position during movement
  • Foldable board doubles as storage with slots for each piece
  • Compact 15-inch wooden design with protective padding

Cons

  • Checkers are not magnetic
  • Some felt pads can require occasional reattachment
  • Storage compartments can be snug to ensure a tight fit

VerdictThis foldable 15-inch wooden set combines classic styling with practical portability. Magnetic chess pieces keep arrangements steady while the checkers use the same board surface but are non-magnetic. The board snaps open to reveal nested storage for pieces and the two spare queens add convenience. It’s well suited for casual play, teaching, and travel, though checkers would benefit from magnetic

    Pleasant set

Nice appearance and build. A worthwhile pick for casual players.

  2. SOINY 5/5

    Compact and well made

Very good craftsmanship and easy to tuck away. Portable and durable—exactly what we wanted.

  3. Grateful 5/5

    Solid wooden pieces

The wooden pieces feel sturdy and the magnetic bottoms prevent them from flying off if the surface is jostled.

  4. EricTube 5/5

    Magnetism really matters in class

I added this to a classroom station and the magnetic bases made activities far more organized and engaging. Students can move pieces confidently and the tactile element boosts participation. Worth picking the magnetic option for teaching.

  5. RD 4/5

    Kids love it

Gave this to my niece and nephews and they’ve been playing chess nonstop. It got them interested in the game.

  6. Lacey D. 5/5

    Great for family game nights

Our family uses this constantly. The pieces stay in place when we move the board, which is a lifesaver while juggling a newborn. I do wish the checkers were magnetic too. The outer box was nice but arrived with shipping labels on it.

  7. Armand A. 5/5

    Functional for learners

Good for beginners—the magnets keep pieces put and the design looks refined. Practical and enjoyable.

  8. Elena Martinez 5/5

    Surprised by the quality

Bought it as a gift and inspected it first. The board lays perfectly flat and the hinge is seamless. Pieces sit tightly in their cutouts; a few felt bottoms were loose and needed a dab of glue, but overall the rounded edges and finish were impressive.
