Collapsible Diatomaceous Stone Dish Drying Pad (Large)
Product description
Minimal, modern drying surface: A low-profile dish pad crafted to collect and evaporate water from washed plates, glasses, utensils and rinsed produce. The sandstone-inspired face adds a subtle, contemporary accent to kitchen counters while keeping surfaces drier.
High-absorbency core: Constructed of compressed diatomaceous earth bonded with recycled paper, the pad is designed to absorb a substantial amount of liquid and to dry itself between uses. The manufacturer rates its absorption performance high so dishes finish drying without pooling water.
Protective silicone surround: The stone core is encased in a woven food-grade silicone mesh that cushions delicate items, raises dinnerware slightly to promote airflow, and protects the stone and countertop from direct contact. The silicone can be removed for cleaning.
Space-saving, foldable form: Sized at 25 x 16.7 inches, this dish pad provides plenty of room for everyday drying needs yet collapses down to roughly one-third of its profile for tuck-away storage in a cabinet or under the sink.
Simple upkeep and sustainability: A small sanding tool is included to sand away stains or marks and renew the stone surface. The reusable design and recyclable inner materials aim to offer an eco-conscious alternative to disposable or fabric drying solutions.
Pros
- Fast absorbency and self-drying surface
- Collapses for compact storage
- Removable silicone edge cushions dishes
Cons
- Surface needs occasional sanding to refresh
- May show stains over time on lighter colors
- Not recommended for all countertop types
VerdictThis large, collapsible stone drying pad blends modern looks with practical function. It soaks up water fast, elevates dishes with a silicone mesh for airflow, and folds flat for tight kitchens. It requires periodic sanding to refresh the surface but offers a reusable alternative to cloth mats and bulky racks.

Fast-drying and space-conscious
This pad soaks up water rapidly thanks to the stone core, keeping counters dry instead of puddled. It collapses for storage and looks much cleaner than a bulky rack. A smart, space-saving kitchen upgrade.

A genuine upgrade to typical drying methods
If you're still using cloth pads, rubber mats, or a bulky rack, this pad feels like a serious improvement. It keeps items elevated so they dry faster, the stone doesn't trap smells, and the silicone edge prevents chipping while allowing airflow. A refined switch for anyone tired of damp counters.

Glad I finally bought it
I hesitated because of cost but I'm very pleased. I still wipe underneath occasionally once dishes dry, and I wish it came in black, but absorbency, size, grip and packaging all exceeded expectations. Highly recommend.

Good concept, wears quicker than hoped
The idea is attractive, but after regular use the surface developed discolored patches that sanding didn't fully remove. The light sandstone finish shows wear, so consider a darker option or a larger size for heavier use.

Stylish, compact, and gift-ready
Thin and elegant on the counter, this pad folds away neatly when done. Packaging matched the product’s clean aesthetic. It arrived quickly and looks great as a housewarming gift — or a treat for yourself.

Worth upgrading from the cheap alternatives
I first tried a bargain knockoff and returned it after leaks and poor design. This original product is well-made: water stays on the surface, dishes sit slightly raised for airflow, and the size fits our cookware. Far superior to fabric mats or imitators.

Became disappointing after a few months
I purchased one eight months ago and mildew and white veining showed up in four months despite airing it out. Sanding helped only partially. For the cost I expected better durability — it's unattractive now and I plan to replace it.

Six months in — terrific for small kitchens
After half a year of daily use in a small farmhouse kitchen with no dishwasher, this has been a lifesaver. It beats awkward drain racks that are hard to clean or store. The diatomaceous core performs as promised and the silicone cover is removable for cleaning. No mildew issues in my experience.
