2-Pack Hanging Forage & Chew Toys for Small to Medium Parrots
Product description
What’s included: Two hanging bird toys made for small and medium parrots.
Materials and construction: The set combines sola (pith) balls crafted from the roots of natural sola plants, a woven sepak takraw element made of rattan, and colorful shredded paper colored with edible, pet-safe dyes. There are no plastics, wires, or glues used in the main chewing components.
Dimensions and design: Reference size is about 9" × 4.7". Each toy features detachable paper strips and small wooden or pacifier-like pieces that birds can pull, chew, and shred. The sepak takraw opening can be refilled with treats, crumpled paper, or small wood bits for additional foraging play.
How to use and safety tips: Hang the toy from the top of the cage so it swings freely; avoid placing it near the cage bottom to reduce the risk of accidental entanglement. Slight flaking of the paper is normal during play. Supervise initial use and check regularly for any loose parts that may need removing.
Best fit: Intended for birds such as cockatiels, finches, lovebirds, conures, parakeets and other small-to-medium species that enjoy chewing, shredding and foraging. These toys help satisfy natural behaviors tied to mental and physical wellbeing.
Pros
- Made from natural, non-toxic materials
- Encourages foraging and shredding behaviors
- Refillable and lightweight for easy hanging
Cons
- Paper strips shed during play
- Wood pieces may be heavily dyed
- Attachment clip can be awkward to use
VerdictWell-crafted natural toys that encourage foraging and chewing. They’re lightweight, safe to shred, and refillable, making them great enrichment for small-to-medium parrots. Some birds will tear them apart quickly, and a few assembly/attachment details could be improved, but overall they provide reliable mental and physical stimulation.

Needs time to accept
Only been in the cage a few days and my bird hasn’t approached it yet — she usually warms up slowly to new toys.

Cockatiel enjoys it but some issues
My picky cockatiel plays with the paper and wood pieces daily. Downsides: the wood seems heavily dyed and the attachment clip is fiddly to use.

Adorable, durable and well received
Some of the nicest small-bird toys I’ve bought. Cute, sturdy, and attract birds quickly. Not for large parrots, but perfect for small to medium species — my birds play for hours.

Great for shredders
My Goffin rips things apart fast. One lasted a day, the other two days. He enjoys shredding and it keeps him occupied while I’m away. Will repurchase.

Toy good, packaging not
Product itself is fine but the box was too small and some pieces were damaged. Birds are wary for now; please use better packing.

Instant budgie hit
We have five budgies and they started using these immediately. The sola balls and little pieces keep them curious. Expect some shredding mess, but they stay engaged all day.
