100% Cotton Sateen Pillowcases — Standard 2-Pack in Teal (Good Housekeeping Seal)

Product description

Set contents and sizing: This set contains two standard pillowcases sized 21" wide by 30" long. It is sold as pillowcases only; sheets, a fitted bottom sheet, or pillow inserts are not part of the package.

Color and pairing: The teal offered here is a rich, deep green with noticeable teal-blue undertones — darker and more muted than bright turquoise and not the same as pure forest green or dark aqua. These cases are designed to coordinate easily with matching basic cotton sheet collections.

Fabric and feel: Constructed from 100% cotton sateen, the fabric has a smooth, soft surface with a light, elegant sheen and a lightweight hand. The design includes an envelope-style closure and a 2" hem that keeps the pillow tucked neatly inside without zippers or buttons.

Durability: Each case is independently evaluated for pilling, colorfastness and shrinkage, so the cotton aims to retain its shape and shade through repeated wash cycles. The materials and stitching are intended for everyday use and longevity.

Care instructions: For routine upkeep, machine wash warm and tumble dry on low. Remove items promptly and lay flat if you want to minimize wrinkles; no special laundering methods are necessary for regular use.

Safety and sourcing: These pillowcases carry OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certification, indicating they’ve passed tests for certain harmful substances. They are produced in a family-owned manufacturing facility with over two decades of experience in cotton textiles and are packaged without plastic.

Pros

  • Soft, breathable 100% cotton sateen
  • Envelope closure with 2" hem keeps pillows secure
  • OEKO-TEX certified and plastic-free packaging

Cons

  • Color may vary depending on lighting
  • Standard size may be snug on some oversized pillows
  • Not sold as a full sheet set

VerdictThese pillow covers deliver the soft hand and sheen of cotton sateen with reliable construction and easy care. The pair fits standard and many queen-size pillows, uses an envelope-style closure to keep inserts in place, and carries safety certification for low levels of harmful substances. They launder and dry without special treatment, and the maker emphasizes durable color and shape retention. I

    Solid construction and weight

Good weight and washes well. The cuff helps keep the pillow covered neatly.

  2. Helena Oliveira 5/5

Lovely fabric but the shade wasn't right for me

Beautiful, high-quality cotton with a soft hand and no scent. The lavender-ish tone was paler than I expected, so I returned it, though the product itself felt perfect and arrived nicely wrapped.

  3. M Petrie 5/5

    Well made and thoughtfully packaged

Nicely presented with tissue and a note. The cotton is comfortable and I'll be replacing my old cases with these.

  4. Michelle V 5/5

    Very soft and attractive colors

I really like these — the fabric is soft and the color is pleasant. Happy with the purchase.

    Soft and cozy

Very pleasant feel. Exactly what I expected.

  6. Claudel 5/5

    Great buy

Perfect for larger pillows and soft to the touch. I recommend them.

  7. DragonGal 4/5

A bit snug on a large memory foam pillow

They were tight on my brother's memory foam pillow labeled queen; the cases are fine but a touch thin and close-fitting.

  8. Chinabeach 5/5

    Fits nicely and feels soft

These fit our new pillows well and the material is soft. I liked them enough to order another set.

  9. Ella G 4/5

    Comfortable and good color

Comfortable for the price, vivid color and the size is spot on. I'll order more.

  10. Michelle Barry 5/5

    Thick, quality pillow slips

Substantial feel and good quality overall.

  11. CherelleDay 3/5

Not up to the brand's usual standard

I usually buy this brand and the higher-thread-count sheets are exceptional. These envelope-style cases felt rougher, thin, and the stitching seemed poor. They didn't hold up well in the wash and looked worn quickly.

  12. Leanne W. 5/5

Great value and fit — I keep coming back

I've owned several sets from this brand and these pillowcases match that same soft, generous sizing. They wash well without heavy creasing and are easy to tuck to form an envelope closure even when not pre-made that way. The sheets from this line also include helpful tags marking top and bottom, which I appreciate for fitted sheets on a king bed.

  13. Susan C. 2/5

    Not soft enough for me

I didn't like them — they weren't soft and didn't meet my expectations.
